Editorial note
How we write our guides
The guides on our blog help you plan an escape room at home, in class or at work, whether or not you use one of our games. Here is how they are made.

Who writes them
Every guide is published by Escape Game Kit, the team at march second GmbH that makes our games. We do not use made-up author names or profiles. When a guide says "we", it means us, the company.
How AI is used
We draft the guides with the help of AI writing tools. A person on our team plans each guide, decides what it should cover for the reader, and edits the draft before it goes live. The tools help with drafting and editing; they do not decide what we recommend.
How facts are checked
Before a guide is published, a person checks every number, claim and link in it, along with the title, the description and the image text. Outside facts come from the sources listed at the end of each guide, with the date we last checked them. Facts about our games come from our own game files. Play and prep times for our games are design targets, and we say so.
What we do not do
We do not claim tests, reviews or experiences we have not had, and we do not rank other companies' products we have not used. When one of our games is the wrong choice for a situation, the guide says so and names an alternative.
Updates and corrections
Each guide shows when it was published and when it was last updated. If you find a mistake, write to us at hello@escapegamekit.com and we will check it and fix it.
